On 16 November 2026, the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and Fraunhofer AVIATION & SPACE invite participants to the fifth EEN-Fraunhofer Space Community Get-Together in Bremen. Traditionally held on the eve of Space Tech Expo Europe, the event brings together companies, research institutions, start-ups and other stakeholders from the international space industry.

Under this year's theme, "Space Security", the networking event provides a platform for discussing current technological challenges, innovative solutions and new opportunities for cooperation.

Focus on Space Security

This year's programme focuses on the security and resilience of space systems. Key topics include space debris, space weather and the protection of critical space infrastructure.

Expert presentations by Dr Holger Krag from the European Space Agency (ESA), Dr Ralf Ewald from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and Kristina Nikolaus from OKAPI will provide insights into current developments and challenges facing the space industry.

A subsequent panel discussion will offer an opportunity to explore different perspectives and discuss future developments.

Start-up Pitches and New Cooperation Opportunities

A special highlight of the programme is the start-up pitching session. Innovative young companies will have the opportunity to present their technologies and business ideas to an international audience of industry professionals and connect with potential cooperation partners.

The organisers are particularly looking for solutions in the fields of space debris, space weather, and the protection and security of space infrastructure.

Interested start-ups can apply for the pitching session until 31 October 2026. Applications should include a pitch deck and a brief description of the cooperation partners they are seeking, submitted by email to aerospace@fkie.fraunhofer.de. The subject line should read "SCGT26: START-UP APPLICATION".

Connecting the International Space Community

Following the technical programme and start-up pitches, an informal get-together will provide an opportunity for personal exchange. Over drinks and snacks, participants can establish new contacts, discuss project ideas and strengthen existing partnerships.

The EEN-Fraunhofer Space Community Get-Together thus provides an opportunity for international networking and the initiation of new collaborations between industry, research and start-ups on the eve of Space Tech Expo Europe.

Participation is free of charge. Prior registration is required.
